Post-Thanksgiving Thoughts

I hope this just-past Thanksgiving found you all counting your blessings and finding ways to bless others in your life. This year I found myself grateful for:
--my marriage, which has stood the test of time (a few weeks shy of 7 years!) thanks to...
--my husband, who has stuck it out with me
--my daughter, who is only growing more fascinating and fun as time goes by
--our little home, with its garden and chicken coop, which keeps us cozy and well-kept
--our two new dogs, Moppett and Maisy, who are fitting in very well after we met at a SC shelter
--other crafty mama blogs, which have inspired me to get back to sewing and crafting

Well, today was our first day back to "normal" after a four night stay with my in-laws over the Thanksgiving holiday. Honestly, we were all more than a little spoiled. Kevin and I were able to sleep in while my mother-in-law (who is one of those "morning people" that are rumored to enjoy waking in the wee hours before noon) cared for Faith. And my sister-in-law got us a sweet deal on having our portrait taken! All this while being cooked for all weekend!!! How great is that?!? So, this year I am also thankful for my in-laws' hospitality skills!

Next year, I want to make some of these for Thanksgiving decorations:

Isn't it cute?
