Storybook Shopping Trip

Once upon a time, there was a mama and a little girl who were bored stiff by being trapped inside due to rainy weather. Then, the mama got the great idea of making a list together of Fun Things To Do. So that the little girl could "read" the list too, she drew pictures instead of just words. The list included super-fun things to do such as: making bread, building a fort with blankets in the living room, going grocery shopping (Yeah, I know. But, hey, anything is better than staying home with a toddler when you have cabin fever!), going to Harry and Emma's house (kids I watch after school), and buying pom-poms for crafts. The mama and little girl decided to go grocery shopping, so they then made a picture list of what to buy, including flour, sugar, chocolate chips, canned pumpkin, milk, cheese, pickle relish, ketchup, yogurt, and cereal bars. Finally, the little girl and her mama braved the rain and went to the store! The little girl brought her own purse and made all the other shoppers smile by acting like such a grown up shopping lady! She held the picture list and helped put things in the cart. She was a great helper to her mama and her mama thought it was a very fun shopping trip!

And they both lived happily ever after! :D
